Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Faculty member in Independence, OH. You will instruct students in courses, labs, and clinical settings, contributing to curriculum development and program evaluation.

The role emphasizes student success, course delivery, and coordination with clinical faculty across campuses. Requirements include a Master’s in nursing, an active Ohio RN license, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Three years full-time nursing practice experience or equivalent.
• Active Ohio RN license with no encumbrances.
• Current BLS CPR certification per AHA standards.

Responsabilités

• Promotes a positive learning environment in classroom, on-campus labs and clinical sites.
• Advises nursing students on course, program, and career issues.
• Evaluates each student’s achievement and progress.
• Recommends strategies for success and tutors students to assist them in meeting course objectives.
• Refers nursing students to nursing lab for skill development as needed.
• Instructs nursing students in assigned courses, on-campus labs and/or clinical according to the course plan.
• Works collaboratively to ensure full curriculum implementation.
• Reviews syllabus and explains course requirements.
• Designs and implements teaching strategies to meet course objectives.
• Participates in course faculty meetings across campuses.
• Directs and supervises clinical faculty and teaching assistants.
• Coordinates instructional materials with clinical activities.
• Communicates with clinical faculty to track attendance and student performance.
• Holds regular course meetings on campus with clinical faculty and teaching assistants.
• Ensures minutes are on file.
• Implements clinical components of the program as written and communicates objectives to students and staff.
• Orients students to clinical sites and relevant policies.
• Plans student clinical experiences aligned with objectives.
• Evaluates student experiences against clinical objectives and documents outcomes.
• Summarizes data and completes required clinical evaluation tools.
• Acts as an ambassador of the College and participates in program improvement studies.
