Job summary

Hondros College of Nursing seeks a part-time on-site Clinical Instructor for the Independence campus to teach within the Nursing program. The role offers scheduling up to 24 hours weekly with Saturday premium pay, and requires a Master’s in Nursing with OH RN licensure and two+ years of RN experience.

No prior higher education teaching experience is required as training is provided; teaching will involve off-site clinicals and lab-based instruction to support student learning across the clinical

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing is required.
Active OH RN licensure is required.
Two or more years of RN experience.
Current BLS certification is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

Instruct students off campus at clinical sites and/or in a lab setting.
Promote a positive learning environment and collaborate to assure full instruction of the clinical component.
Create a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience.
Supervise and orient students to the clinical site and applicable policies.
Evaluate each student’s progress and provide feedback.
Participate in Faculty Organization and Curriculum Committees.
