Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant 0.5 Day Shift for the CRU Nursing Assistant team at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Nursing Float Pool. The position is part time (20 hours per week) with benefits eligibility and a pay range of $20.80 - $31.20 per hour.

The role involves assisting RNs with patient daily care, documenting in the EMR, performing measurements, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School Graduate, or GED or HSED.
• Certification Addendum: BLS for Healthcare Providers to be obtained within 45 days.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Basic computer skills, excellent communication, organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and daily data; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounds and communicates observations to RN; participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated; maintains competency.
• Performs tasks related to positioning, transferring, nutrition, skin care, and age-appropriate patient care.
