Job summary

Arbour Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clinician for a part-time night/weekend role, 11pm–7:30am. The position involves assessing potential patients, coordinating intake, and managing admission processes to ensure appropriate levels of care.

Responsibilities include telephonic risk screening, family communication, and collaboration with psychiatrists. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required, with licensure preferences and at least 1 year of psychiatric experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field required.
• LCSW/LICSW/LMHC/LMFT preferred.
• 1 year of psychiatric experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone to collect clinical, demographic, and insurance information to determine needs.
• Performs telephonic risk screening for suicidality/homicidality.
• Makes admission recommendations and provides referrals when appropriate.
• Schedules assessments and explains the admission process to patients and families.
• Greet patients and families and explain evaluation and admission steps.
• Conducts assessments and coordinates with psychiatrists and other staff.
• Ensures accurate data entry into EMR and completes admission paperwork.

Education

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or Human Services Field
