Job summary
Havenwyck Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a fully licensed Intake Clinician (RN/MSW) for part-time evening shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm). The role involves initial clinical intake, coordination of admission decisions, and collaboration with physicians and referral sources within a behavioral health setting.
Ideal candidates hold an RN license or MSW with relevant experience in mental health services.
Qualifications
- Minimum of associates in nursing, bachelor of nursing, preferred, or masters of social work degrees.
- Current license in the State of Michigan as a Fully Licensed Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- Experience in mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital, is expected.
Responsibilities
- Obtains initial intake information.
- Provides clinical assessment and feedback during intake.
- Provides information to patients and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance information and admission procedures.
- Communicates with physicians, program directors, charge nurses, etc. regarding anticipated admission.
- Provides follow-up to referral sources and patients awaiting admission.
- Performs screening evaluations to determine appropriateness of admission.
