Zusammenfassung

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative in Santa Fe Springs, CA for a part-time night-shift schedule. You will obtain demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits, and assign the correct medical records. Strong data-entry, insurance understanding, and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities include pre-certification, handling co-pays, and maintaining multiple computer systems. 2 years in a medical or high-volume customer service role is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years in medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry, insurance, or related software.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Aufgaben

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and update patient files; obtain pre-certification, referral or authorization numbers.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and required payments.
• Review physician orders for completeness and ensure all information is listed.
• Complete Medicare compliance and obtain ABN if necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and ensure accurate registrations.
• Provide excellent customer service and escalate unresolved issues to supervision.
• Answer telephone calls and follow pre-established scripts.
• Complete shift duties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
