Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift on the Gen/Surgical Unit. The role involves bedside care for acutely ill patients, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care.

The 30-bed unit handles high-acuity cases across multiple specialties. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, maintain records, and educate patients and families for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Maryland RN license or Compact State license.
• BLS certification required through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
• Maintain accurate, timely healthcare records and document changes.
• Assess, monitor and report patient condition; adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and family for discharge and post-hospital care.
