Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a dedicated ICU RN to join our care team for part-time night shifts. You will provide comprehensive nursing services under supervision, focusing on critical patient care in the ICU and collaboration with physicians and APs.

Qualifications include a nursing degree, an active RN license, ACLS, NIHSS, and 1 year of ICU experience (3+ years preferred). BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience; 3+ years of ICU experience is highly desired.
• RN license with ACLS and NIHSS certification required; NIHSS required upon hire for ICU/EM/Rapid Response.
• Bachelor's Degree BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and documents findings.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the care team.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary care and communicates patient status and needs.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate follow-up actions.
• Ensures adherence to hospital policies and nursing standards of practice.
• Educates patients and families and documents education provided.
