Job summary

UT Southwestern is seeking a Part-Time Night ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care under supervision, performing assessments, and coordinating with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

RN license is required, with Texas or compact licensure; ACLS is required and NIHSS must be completed upon hire for ICU/EM/RRT. Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience is required; 3+ years in ICU is highly desired.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Texas or compact)
• Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience; 3+ years ICU RN experience preferred
• ACLS certification required; NIHSS assessment on hire for ICU/EM/RRT

Responsibilities

• Perform and document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Develop and implement an appropriate plan of care with patient and family input.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure timely care and accurate documentation.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based on assessment; monitor changes in condition.
• Adhere to hospital policies and ANA standards; apply evidence-based practices.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning; involve family in care decisions.
