Job summary

The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center is seeking a Part-Time NOC Shift Registered Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team. This overnight role offers flexibility for an RN looking for part-time hours while delivering high-quality resident care.

You will assess residents, administer medications, and collaborate with CNAs, LVNs, and physicians to maintain continuity of care during the overnight shift. Strong clinical judgment and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted California RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect resident information.
• Ability to meet applicable physical and job-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care.
• Assess residents and respond to changes in condition.
• Notify physicians and responsible parties of significant changes.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders, care plans, and facility policies.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules for accuracy and completion.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Perform vital signs, assessments, IV starts, and specimen collection as ordered.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Monitor residents requiring increased observation or clinical attention.
• Address resident and family questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
• Provide support and clinical guidance to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LVNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and other departments.
• Adapt to different assignments, shifts, and resident-care needs.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment.
• Provide reliable support during staffing shortages, call-offs, vacations, and other coverage needs.
