Job summary

This role operates 20 hours per week with variable nights, including Monday and Thursday overnight shifts, at the Winston Campus. You will collect blood samples, ensure proper patient identification, input orders into the LIS, and support specimen processing and routine testing. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR Certification is required.
• ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent certification from an accredited Phlebotomy training program that includes a certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes cooperative work environment.
• Assures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens.
• Ensures correct identification and delivery of patient samples to the correct lab sections.
• Follows safety and identification procedures with patients and specimens.
• Demonstrates phlebotomy knowledge and supports staff daily.
• Maintains inventory and supplies related to job activities.
• Performs clerical tasks including LIS data entry and report delivery.
• Performs specimen processing per laboratory policies.
