Advocate Health's Winston-Salem campus is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join the Lab: Phlebotomy Services. You will ensure accurate collection of blood specimens, proper patient identification, and timely delivery to lab sections, with a 9pm–7:30am schedule on Mondays and Thursdays.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and ASCP/AMT/ASPT or equivalent phlebotomy certification; two years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification required.
• ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent phlebotomy certification with exam.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to lab standards and promotes cooperative work environment.
• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens.
• Ensures proper identification and delivery of patient samples to lab sections.
• Follows safety procedures when handling patients and specimens.
• Serves as a resource to staff on phlebotomy practices.
• Performs clerical tasks including entering lab orders into LIS and reporting.
