Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a full-time phlebotomist for the Lab: Phlebotomy Services. The roll is a 3rd shift position (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) in the Winston Campus location.

You will ensure accurate specimen collection, proper labeling, and timely delivery to lab sections. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and ASCP/AMT/ASPT or equivalent certification; 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection of blood specimens per departmental practices.
• Verify patient identification and deliver samples to the correct lab sections.
• Follow safety and identification procedures for patients and specimens.
• Maintain inventory and perform clerical tasks such as LIS data entry and report delivery.
