Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma, CPR certification, and phlebotomy credentials (ASCP/AMT/ASPT). The position offers full-time hours, with a 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two-years of age-appropriate phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR Certification.
• ASCP, AMT, ASPT or equivalent certification from an accredited phlebotomy program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Center standards to promote teamwork and safety.
• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens per dept. practices.
• Ensures correct identification and delivery of patient samples to the lab.
• Follows safety procedures when dealing with patients and specimens.
• Acts as a phlebotomy resource and maintains ongoing education.
• Performs clerical duties such as LIS data entry and report delivery.
• Performs specimen processing and may perform waived testing.
