Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates LLC is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician (PT) for a part-time role in the Valleywise Health Medical Center NICU in Phoenix, AZ. The technician will perform newborn hearing screens, educate parents, and document results prior to discharge.

Position involves 8 to 15 hours per week with 4–6 hour shifts, alternating weekends and PRN weekdays/holidays, starting at 8 AM. Training provided; requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a hospital

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
One or more years of healthcare or childcare training/experience, or related college curriculum is a plus.
Possess basic computer skills.
Ability to function independently in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to attend all company provided training.
Willingness and ability to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct newborn hearing screenings on all infants in well baby and NICU units, prior to discharge; coordinate post-discharge follow-up care as needed.
Work with nursing staff, patients, and parents to communicate relevance of screening and early identification for positive outcomes.
Analyze and communicate responses to problems in line with company and customer needs.
Maintain and use hearing screening equipment; assist with database management.
