Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare or childcare training/experience, or related college coursework is a plus.

• Must attend all training provided.
• Willingness to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings on all infants in well baby and NICU units prior to discharge.
• Coordinate post-discharge follow up as needed using procedures and technology.
• Communicate relevance of screening to parents and nursing staff for early identification.
• Maintain and use hearing screening equipment; assist with database management.
• Interact with hospital departments and follow policies of HSA and hospitals.
• Adhere to code of conduct and compliance policies.
• Gain thorough knowledge of the testing modalities after training.
