Demant-associated Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician (PT) for a busy NICU setting in Gretna, LA. The role involves performing infant hearing screens before discharge, educating parents, and coordinating follow-up as needed.

You will receive extensive training and work alongside nursing staff to ensure early identification of hearing loss and timely intervention, with a weekend-included schedule and a pay rate of $17.00/hour plus differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare or childcare training/experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings prior to discharge.
• Coordinate post-discharge follow up as needed.
• Work with nursing staff, patients and parents to explain screening relevance.
• Maintain and use screening equipment; assist with database management.
• Comply with hospital policies and code of conduct.
