Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One (1)+ year of healthcare or childcare training/experience, or related college coursework is a plus.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to function independently in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to attend all company provided training.
• Willingness and ability to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units, prior to discharge; coordinate post-discharge follow-up as needed.
• Work with nursing staff, patients and parents to explain the relevance of screening and early identification.
• Analyze and communicate responses to problems per company and customer needs.
• Maintain and use hearing screening equipment and assist with database management.
• Interact with hospital departments and follow policies of HSA and partner hospitals.
• Uphold code of conduct and compliance policies.
• After training, demonstrate thorough knowledge of Transient Otoacoustic Emissions and Automated Auditory Brainstem Response tech.
