Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates (HSA), part of the Demant Group, is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician (PT) in San Antonio, TX. You will perform screenings on newborns in NICU and well-baby units, educate parents about early intervention, and document results prior to discharge.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, healthcare experience, and the ability to work a Tue/Fri schedule with possible additional hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare or childcare training/experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units prior to discharge.
• Coordinate post-discharge follow-up care as needed using appropriate procedures.
• Communicate relevance of screening to parents with empathy and clarity.
• Maintain screening equipment and assist with database management.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and hospital departments to support care goals.
• Follow training and company policies; comply with safety and vaccination requirements.
