Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a part-time Network Engineer II to support our government customer out of Kekaha, Hawai'i. The role focuses on network engineering, security, administration, and management for classified and unclassified PMRF networks, including STIG compliance and incident response.

You will configure devices, develop security plans, mentor junior staff, and contribute to system change planning in a dynamic mission environment.

Qualifications

• A.S. degree or four years of directly related network administration experience may substitute for the degree.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAM I/II/III can substitute for a degree.
• Cisco CCNA Certification is required or preferred.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification is required.
• Two years of Network Administration experience.
• Knowledge of IT networks and advanced networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and configures network hardware and software including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Develops engineering and security implementation plans for new network systems.
• Provide escalation support for junior team members and training as required.
• May perform Contract Task Manager duties for TI work.
• Tracks status reporting on day-to-day and project activities.
• Maintains cyber security tasks using DISA STIGS, SCAP, SRR scripts, and ACAS/Nessus.
• Ensures 100% device compliance with DoW IAVM programs and develops POA&M plans.
