Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support our government customer on PMRF in Kekaha, Hawai’i. You will assist with Linux/Windows administration, security compliance, and system maintenance in a classified and unclassified network environment.

This entry-level role requires awareness of cyber security practices, ability to work with senior staff, and willingness to perform field-ready tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of IT work experience or equivalent.
• Must have basic IT hardware/software knowledge and be capable of teamwork.
• Clear ability to follow directions and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry level systems administration for PMRF networks.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows workstations and servers.
• Apply DISA STIG security configurations to applicable devices.
• Manage users and groups via centralized directory.
• Create/maintain file systems, storage partitions, and permissions.
• Operate and monitor systems, services, and virtual machines.
• Support software licenses, asset tracking, and backup/recovery.
• Prepare status reports and technical briefs for management.
