Job summary

Tucson Museum of Art in Tucson, AZ is seeking a part-time Visitor Experience Associate to support admissions, the Museum Store, and Ed Center Desk. You will operate a POS system, handle transactions, greet visitors, answer questions, and help present exhibits and events to the public.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of retail experience (preferably in a museum or gallery setting), a High School Diploma or GED, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years retail experience, preferably in a museum or bookstore.
• Experience operating a POS system and credit card machines.
• Ability to stand 4–6 hours and lift light loads.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising and customer service best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as admissions clerk and assist at the Museum Store and Ed Center Desk.
• Operate POS system, handle money and process transactions accurately.
• Greet visitors, answer questions, and provide information about exhibits.
• Support sales for memberships and event-related activities.
• Help with merchandising and store readiness for opening.
• Represent the Museum positively during events and daily operations.
