Job summary

CU Art Museum in Boulder, CO is seeking a part-time Temporary Visitor Experience Assistant to manage front desk operations, greet visitors, and provide information about the museum and university.

The role supports a team of student employees, opens/closes on Saturdays, and may include additional weekday hours. The rate is $24 per hour with paid sick leave; benefits are not included. Evening hours may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in occupational fields related to the work assigned to this position.
• Proficient MS Office and computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work weekends and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate visitor reception and orientation.
• Provide information to visitors and answer questions.
• Respond to telephone inquiries.
• Monitor visitor attendance records and entry.
• Open and close the museum and exhibitions on Saturdays.
• Support the Visitor Experience Liaison and student staff as needed.
