Job summary

Independence Village Carmel is seeking a part-time dishwasher to support the culinary team. Responsibilities include washing and unloading dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and kitchen equipment while maintaining cleanliness and organization.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and cooperative collaboration with residents and staff. Prior dishwashing is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be friendly, display a positive attitude, and have good teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Use proper procedures for cleaning and storing items - comply with all applicable state and local health/safety codes.
• Stock soap, towels, and paper products throughout the kitchen.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• May be required to scrub and mop floors, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Consistently maintain a positive attitude, supporting a team environment with other Dishwashers and the culinary team.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
