Independence Village Des Moines is seeking a friendly Dishwasher to support our dining services on weekend shifts.

You will wash and unload dishes, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen while collaborating with a compassionate culinary team in a senior living community.

Experience is not required, but a teamwork mindset and good communication help you thrive in a role that keeps residents comfortable and our operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be friendly, display a positive attitude, and have good teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Use proper procedures for cleaning and storing items - comply with all applicable state and local health/safety codes.
• Stock soap, towels, and paper products throughout the kitchen.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• May be required to scrub and mop floors, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Consistently maintain a positive attitude, supporting a team environment with other Dishwashers and the culinary team.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
