Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Newberg, OR is seeking a part-time Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, set up tables, and maintain a clean dining area.

The role requires weekend availability and a friendly, professional demeanor. Knowledge of food safety and dietary needs is essential; CPR/First Aid certification and a Food Handler card are

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Must maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required during employment.
• Food handlers card issued by local Health Department preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and hospital/nursing home regulations.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly and courteously delivering food and beverages to residents.
• Provide attentive service and address residents' needs during meals.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
• Clear tables and reset for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Be familiar with the menu and dietary needs to answer questions.
• Interact with residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste according to policies.
