Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Specialist for our Hanover County office. Schedule: 22.5 hours per week (3 days, 8:30 am–5:00 pm). Pay: $17–$20 per hour.

We provide paid training for licensing and standard sales training. You will be the friendly first point of contact for members, answering questions by phone, email and in person, processing payments and changes, and supporting the sales team and county activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Property & Casualty license within three months of employment (we pay for your training)
• Keep license current through continuing education (CE) credits)

Responsibilities

• Take care of our members by phone, email and in person
• Process payments, submit claim reports and prepare certificates of insurance and binders
• Prepare correspondence and process changes to insurance policies
• Quote home and auto insurance and process new business
• Promote cross-selling and support agents
• Maintain county Farm Bureau records and financial accounting system
• Open and close the office and keep supplies stocked
