Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a part-time Member Service Specialist in Lebanon, VA. The role supports the county sales team with insurance processing, service and administrative tasks, reporting to the Agency Manager.

The position runs 22.5 hours per week (3 days, 8:30am-5:00pm) in the Russell County office. Responsibilities include handling inquiries via phone/email/in-person, supporting agents with home/auto quotes, and maintaining member records and financial accounting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Must obtain P&C license within three months of employment.
• Paid training for licensing and sales.
• Ongoing development and support in all roles.

Responsibilities

• Insurance processing: answer inquiries by phone, email and in person; process payments and binders.
• Support agents: quote home/auto, process new business, promote cross selling and set appointments.
• Maintain county records, financials and membership information.
• Open/close office and manage supplies; operate office software and equipment.
• Assist in planning county board meetings and record minutes.
