Job summary

Virginia Farm Bureau in Christiansburg, VA seeks a detail-oriented Member Service Specialist to support insurance processing, service and sales tasks. You will assist the county president and board with administrative duties and maintain member records and financial in-box processes.

The role is full-time, on-site, with training provided and benefits beginning on day one. Hours are Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm, located in Montgomery County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must obtain P&C license within three months of employment.
• Paid training for licensing and standard sales training.
• Ongoing development and support in all roles.

Responsibilities

• Insurance processing: answer inquiries, process payments, submit claim reports, prepare certificates of insurance and binders, and changes to policies.
• Quote home and auto business; process new business; promote cross-selling; set appointments for agents; promote bank products.
• Promote healthcare offerings and collect referral information.
• Maintain county farm bureau records, files, and permanent documents.
• Maintain financial accounting system and process money transactions and deposits.
• Manage membership data, renewals, and paid listings; ensure compliance with membership policy.
• Assist in planning county board meetings and record minutes.
