YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Welcome Center Attendant in Savannah, GA. The role focuses on creating positive experiences for visitors, handling membership sales, program enrollments, and frontline customer service.

You will support facility safety, cleanliness, and protect the YMCA brand, acting as the first point of contact for members and guests while upholding the organization’s Judeo-Christian values.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to foster positive staff, peer, and program participant relationships.
• Ability to provide accurate YMCA program information.
• Must possess excellent phone skills using multiple phone lines.
• Strong computer skills; ability to operate multiple software.
• Ability to promote facility memberships, programs, and merchandise.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, problem-solve, and time-manage in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to diffuse difficult, escalated, or emergency situations.
• Exemplify YMCA values and mission.
• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment.
• Must pass background check and authorization to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Greet each person entering the facility cheerfully.
• Open/close building as per shift.
• Perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Verify memberships and provide security at entry.
• Answer calls and in-person inquiries with smiles and empathy.
• Give tours to prospective members.
• Register memberships and set up payment methods.
• Record membership changes and report issues.
• Register program participants and book facility reservations.
• Inspect facility for safety and service quality.
• Support retention and satisfaction of members.
• Assist Annual Campaign fundraising.
• Maintain positive attitude with staff and participants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
