Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Georgia invites applicants for a Welcome Center Attendant to ensure a welcoming experience and accurate membership processing. You will greet visitors, answer questions about programs, and assist with tours and registrations.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, daily cleaning, verifying memberships, and supporting fundraising and retention efforts while upholding YMCA values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess excellent phone skills using multiple phone lines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to operate multiple software.
• Ability to promote memberships, programs, and merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests cheerfully and answer inquiries about the YMCA and programs.
• Open and/or secure the building per shift time and lead cleaning duties as needed.
• Register memberships and enroll participants; assist with program reservations.
• Provide safety and security by verifying memberships and inspecting the facility.
• Assist in member retention, campaigns, and customer service initiatives.
• Report facility or equipment issues; support leadership during non-business hours.
