Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Welcome Center Lead to oversee daily administration, ensure member services, and supervise front desk operations at the Darien branch.

Role emphasizes customer service, retention, and adherence to core values, while supporting annual campaigns and program participation. Qualified candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent, strong MS Office skills, and CPR/First Aid within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred; related experience can substitute.
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles is required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access and basic computer skills.
• Ability to design and implement membership retention strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive staff relationships.
• Capacity to supervise multiple staff and manage front desk operations.
• CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the welcome center and front desk.
• Supervise front desk staff to ensure quality service.
• Support retention and satisfaction of members through outreach.
• Maintain a cheerful, professional attitude with staff and participants.
• Prepare weekly membership reports and related data.
• Process financial assistance applications as needed.
• Support annual fundraising campaigns and related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
