Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist for the ACL Laboratories - South Sub Core Lab in Illinois. You will perform, evaluate, and monitor tests within established protocols, ensuring timely turnaround and quality.

Certification in MT/MLS (ASCP or AMT) and a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology are required; no experience is needed. Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance, validity and reporting.
• Calibrates, maintains and repairs instruments and equipment as needed.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance activities per protocol.
• Collects specimens and ensures proper labeling and handling.
• Provides direction and training to staff and ensures compliance with standards.
