Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Wisconsin to perform, evaluate, and monitor laboratory tests within established protocols. This role supports newborn to adult testing and collaborates with other teams to maintain turnaround times.

The ideal candidate will hold ASCP MLS/MT certification within 1 year plus a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
• Certification within 1 year: MT/MLS (ASCP) or AMT MT.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; identifies malfunctions.
• Reviews quality control and quality assurance per protocol; takes corrective action.
• Collects specimens from newborn to adult patients according to protocol.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students; supports education protocols.
