Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLS for a full-time day shift. Start times range from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., with an 8.5 hour shift and every other weekend and holiday required.

The role supports inpatient and ED services with timely, accurate lab results. Candidates must have MT/MLS credentials (ASCP or AMT) within 1 year and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensure requirements to be obtained within 1 year.
• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory sciences or related field (medical technology).

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports results accordingly.
• Calibrates, maintains, and repairs instruments; identifies malfunctions and corrects them.
