Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by QA guidelines and documents corrective action for any non-conforming event.
• Prepares reagents and maintains supplies for test procedures; manages inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment in prioritizing tasks and solving problems by contacting the appropriate departments for troubleshooting or service setup.
• Assists with review and revision of accreditation procedures and documentation, adhering to CAP, TJC, OSHA requirements.
• Maintains clear real-time communications shift-to-shift and with leadership regarding issues affecting patient care or department operations.
• Participates in planning and implementing change via staff meetings, task forces, or projects.
• Participates in competency assessment programs where qualified.
