Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests and adjusts workflow for timely completion.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports results per policy.
• Calibrates, maintains, and repairs instruments; recognizes malfunctions and corrects them.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance to improve procedures.
• Collects specimens and ensures proper labeling and suitability for testing.
• Provides training and guidance to technicians and students as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting standards and CAP requirements.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports multiple specialty areas.
• Demonstrates care appropriate to the age of patients served.
