Job summary

LabCorp in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Medical Technologist II for part-time hours (25 hrs/week), Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. The role involves specimen evaluation, routine and complex testing, instrument troubleshooting, and ensuring accurate results to support patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in a chemical/biological science, NV licensure as CLT, and ASCP or AMT certification, with 2+ years of lab experience; Cobas e411 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• 2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
