Job summary

Labcorp in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Medical Technologist II to join our team on a part-time basis, 25 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM). The role involves performing routine and complex lab testing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality patient results.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology, Nevada licensure, ASCP/AMT certification, and 2+ years of lab experience. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $50.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a chemical/biological science or clinical laboratory science; Medical Technology.
  • Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist is required.
  • ASCP or AMT certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist
ASCP or AMT certification
2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

Job Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Technologist II to join our team in Las Vegas, NV.



Work Schedule: Part-time, 25 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM



Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology

  • Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist

  • ASCP or AMT certification

  • 2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience



Preferred Qualification


  • Current or prior Labcorp experience

  • Experience performing testing and routine maintenance on the Cobas e411 analyzer by Roche



Additional Job Standards

Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems


Ability to work independently and within a team environment


High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills


Able to pass a standardized color blindness test


Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs



Pay Range: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.


Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
