Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist for day shift. The role requires Per Diem scheduling with every other weekend work and the ability to perform in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology.

The MT will conduct standard diagnostic tests, maintain quality controls, and collaborate with staff to ensure accurate results and timely patient care.

Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic laboratory tests to detect, analyze and support patient care.
• Adheres to QC protocols and lab safety standards.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing with accuracy and independence.
• Maintain turnaround times and quality in assigned areas.
• Prioritize STAT specimens and communicate critical results promptly.
• Participate in ongoing education, competencies and instrument evaluations.
