Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks a Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory team. The role involves performing diagnostic tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology with accuracy and independence, aiding physicians in patient care.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and eligible ASCP MT certification; a Master’s or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
• Degree with biology/chemistry or related science and certification requirements.
• Master’s or Doctorate in chemistry/biology/immunology/microbiology or related field preferred.
• ASCP MT certification or eligible.
• MT (ASCP) certification eligible.
• Certified MT (HEW).
• Certified MT (AMT).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology.
• Operate microscopes, analyzers, and computer equipment.
• Work independently in assigned areas and provide high-quality patient care.

Education

Bachelor’s in Medical Technology

Biological sciences or chemistry degree with 30 semester hours biology/chemistry/medical sciences and certification requirements

Master’s or Doctorate in related field (preferred)

ASCP MT certification eligible

MT (ASCP) certification eligible

MT (HEW) certification

MT (AMT) certification
