Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist to join our team. Schedule: Per Diem, Day Shift every other weekend required.

The role involves performing diagnostic laboratory tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology with independent judgment and adherence to QC standards. We offer a per diem, day shift schedule with opportunities to participate in continuing education and lab operations.

Qualifications

• Medical Technologist conducts diagnostic laboratory tests and analyzes samples.
• Ability to work independently in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology.
• Experience with QC protocols and proficiency testing.
• Familiarity with Lab information systems and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately performs analytical testing with independent judgment.
• Maintains turnaround times with an organized work process.
• Assesses specimen acceptability and follows rejection policies.
• Communicates problems to supervision and collaborates with team.
