Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Medical Technologist at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital for a full-time, day shift role. You will operate information systems in the lab, maintain QC processes, and support specimen workflows to ensure timely and accurate results.

The position requires MT credentials (ASCP) and an associate degree, with responsibilities spanning testing, documentation, and instrument maintenance, all while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology.
• MLT (ASCP) certified, LA (ASCP) certified, or meet the training and/or experience requirements for MLT certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate information systems used in laboratory services.
• Have working knowledge of the Meditech lab system for specimens.
• Process, order, resulting, inquiry functions and troubleshooting.
• Be knowledgeable of downtime procedure, both short and long term.
• Utilize computer system for job-related tasks only.
• Be aware of centralized help desk notification process (email/7777).
• Produce lab tests in an efficient organized manner.
• Prioritize work and adhere to STAT protocol.
