Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory team on a part‑time basis with evening and rotating shifts. The technologist performs diagnostic tests across chemistry, hematology, blood bank and microbiology, using microscopes, analyzers and computer systems to deliver precise results for patient care.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology with ASCP eligibility; a master's or doctorate is preferred, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field; ASCP eligibility.
• Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, or related field preferred.
• Certification eligibility for MT/ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Operate microscopes, analyzers and computer systems to generate accurate results.
• Work independently in assigned areas to ensure high quality patient care.
