Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s in chemical/biological science with MLS/certification required.
• MLS or categorical certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) preferred.
• Certification must be maintained for NV/CA where applicable.
• Phlebotomy competency required where applicable.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF).

Responsibilities

• Perform tests accurately and timely per policies and performance standards.
• Recognize and document abnormal results and QC issues; monitor testing validity.
• Assist with inventory and provide financial data for the department.
• Participate in training, committees, and quality/process improvement projects.
• Prepare patient samples and ensure correct identification and specimen integrity.
