Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO, is seeking a part-time Medical/Clinical Lab Scientist (24 hours/week) to join our laboratory team. This role requires strong technical knowledge and adherence to CLIA, CAP, and OSHA standards while supporting patient testing and specimen handling.

The ideal candidate has a MLS/MT certification or eligible, with phlebotomy competency and familiarity with laboratory information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology or related field.
• Certification (MLS or categorical) or completion of categoricals from an MLS program.
• Foreign educated candidates require credential evaluation (IERF) for eligibility.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately according to policies and standards; calibrate procedures and instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements (CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
• Assist with collection, receipt and processing of specimens as needed.
• Support department projects, training, and competency assessments for staff.
• Provide educational information to internal and external customers and participate in quality initiatives.
