The position involves specimen collection/processing, instrument calibration, and quality control. MLS/MT certification or equivalent is preferred, with phlebotomy competency and knowledge of lab terminology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology required or equivalent.
• Certification (MLS or categorical) required or documented completion of applicable categories.
• Foreign educated candidates need credential evaluation for review.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and promptly according to policies and standards.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments; monitor quality control.
• Assist with compliance with accrediting/regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, OSHA).
• Lead in absence of on-site leadership and participate in staff training.
• Monitor specimen collection, receipt and processing and ensure specimen integrity.
• Provide information and training to internal/external customers as needed.
