Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MLS/Medical Technology or related discipline.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required; pass within 18 months.
• Ability to read, speak and write English effectively.
• Collect appropriate specimen samples as required.
• Demonstrates competency in analytical lab tests on blood, urine, and body fluids.
• Evaluates test results in light of clinical condition per policy.

Responsibilities

• Collect appropriate specimen samples as required.
• Ensure specimen identification is accurate when aliquoting specimens and resulting tests.
• Demonstrates competency in analytical laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids or specimens according to laboratory policy.
• Evaluates test results in light of the patient’s clinical condition and analytical testing conditions according to laboratory policy.
