Job summary

TridentCare in Middletown, CT is seeking a Part-Time Medical Laboratory Technologist for the 7:00am-3:30pm shift (3 days with rotating weekends/holidays). This role plates microbiology samples and performs tests across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and coagulation, ensuring QC and timely reporting of patient results.

You will edit results, enter data, confirm abnormal findings, train new staff, and assist with instrument maintenance and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with MT (ASCP) or equivalent
• One year chemistry/hematology experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency with automated instruments and data systems

Responsibilities

• Plates microbiology samples.
• Performs tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and coagulation.
• Checks QC before running tests and reporting results.
• Data entry of results and editing of results.
• Communicates and escalates abnormal results to supervisor.
