Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, helping create a positive experience while supporting efficient office operations and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, checking in and verifying registration and insurance, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting with MyChart support and billing processes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or customer service environment preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; work permit for ages 15-17 is optional.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
